Course Description

*Module 1 of this course is available as a FREE sample. The complete course will be available soon. See below for a full course overview. Accessibility isn’t just about ramps and captions – it’s about creating workplaces where everyone can participate, contribute, and feel like they belong. This self-paced course is designed to give staff at every level a clear understanding of what accessibility really means, why it matters, and the role each of us plays in making it part of everyday workplace culture. Across eight short, engaging modules, you’ll move from the basics through to practical actions you can take in your own workplace. Along the way, you’ll hear real stories, learn to recognise common barriers, and challenge some of the myths that hold organisations back. What you’ll learn: • Setting the scene – Why accessibility matters for every workplace. • A lived experience perspective – Stories that highlight real barriers and opportunities. • What accessibility really means – Beyond compliance and checklists. • Who we’re talking about – Understanding the diversity of people impacted. • The four pillars of accessibility – Physical, digital, procedural, and cultural. • Busting common myths – Clearing up misunderstandings. • Practical actions – Steps you can take right now in your workplace. • Keeping the conversation going – How to make accessibility part of your culture. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, language, and confidence to recognise barriers, start meaningful conversations, and contribute to a workplace where accessibility is truly everyone’s business.
